What's new!
The HF-doppler (HFD) method has long been used for observation of ionospheric disturbances because of its sensitivity and portability. This Project has started in 1999 for the following purposes: 1)To build a new transmitting station for HFD in place of the JJY station, 2)To develop a HFD observation network over Japan with high sensitivity and accuracy, 3)To make cooperative studies on ionospheric disturbances by means of HFD. The new HF Radio Station, JG2XA, was established at Chofu, Tokyo on July 3, 2001 by Sugadaira Space Radio Observatory of UEC, and it has continously been operated at 5006 and 8006 kHz for HFD.
